Mouth Styles & Closure

Sip style — a raised drinking spout the customer sips through directly, the straightforward choice for black coffee, tea and filter drinks.
Switch style — a tab that folds back to open a wider drinking opening, useful for customers who add milk at the counter or want a faster flow.
Closed while carried — with the tab pressed down, the opening stays covered while the cup is carried to a table or packed for delivery, and the customer lifts it when they are ready to drink.
Thumb operation — the tab opens and presses back down with a thumb, so staff set the lid without touching the drinking surface.

Material & Build

Moulded from PS, this lid is rigid rather than flimsy: it keeps its round shape when it is pressed onto a full cup, and the smooth, glossy surface can be wiped down if a drink splashes over the top. The detail on the lid is embossed into the mould rather than printed — a CAUTION CONTENTS HOT warning sits alongside embossed recycling marks, so both stay legible after the lids have been stacked, handled and steamed over. That warning is also a small service point, because it reminds the customer the drink is hot before the tab is lifted. We keep the same tooling for each lid size, so the lid you reorder is the lid you approved.

They are made for our own hot paper cups. The lid is part of the same cup system, and we are a paper cup manufacturer, so the two are matched at tooling stage. Order cup and lid together and tell us which cup you serve your coffee in, and we will confirm the lid that goes with it.

Q2. Can these lids be used for cold drinks, or only hot coffee?

They are designed for hot coffee paper cups. For iced drinks, dessert cups and soup formats we supply other lid options, so a menu with both hot and cold lines can be covered by one disposable tableware supplier instead of two.

Q3. Do you offer other lid diameters?

The standard range covers the sizes listed above, and more sizes are available on request. If your wholesale paper cups come in a different rim diameter, send us the measurement and we will confirm what we can match before you commit to a run.

Q4. Can we print our logo on these lids?

Yes. Custom design work is part of our OEM support, and logo printing can be applied across cup and lid formats. Send your artwork and tell us where you want it placed; we will confirm what the lid surface and tooling allow before production starts.

Q5. Will these lids fit cups from another supplier?

The lid seats on the cup rim, so a cup from another supplier can work when its rim diameter and rim shape match the lid you order. Give us the rim measurement and the cup wall type, and we will tell you which size to try.

Q6. Should we stock both lid colours?

White lids keep a clean look on white and plain cups, while black lids give contrast on kraft or printed cups. Many cafés make one colour the house standard and add the second for branded or seasonal drinks.
